If your oxygen reading seems low, that is okay.
Your health is okay and will certainly be okay.

You visited this webpage and investigated your oximeter readings. You do not have hypoxia or any threatening condition because you were able to worry about it. Anything that happens from now on is, at WORST, very treatable. There is absolutely nothing to worry about. If you are still worried, that is okay. It is further evidence that you are not in danger. Your oximeter readings are not concerning because:
Below 70% [No Worries]

This is literally impossible for the oximeter to measure and should never be taken seriously in any way shape or form. Ever.
Fell to below 85% [No Worries]

This is physiologically impossible for humans. If you were above 92% and then fell to 85% for example, that is literally impossible. Literally impossible for that to have actually happened in your body (Journal for Nurse Practitioners).
At 92% or above [No Worries]

It is now acceptable to be at an oximeter reading of 92%-96% for adults. The Thoracic Society of Australia says so. If you are at a 92% or above, you are absolutely fine. You can take a deep breath, or you can go to activities, it doesn't matter! You're okay! Yay!
After 15 seconds of a constant number reading, below 92% [No Worries]

The oximeter has variability in readings of up to 5%, meaning you could read 87% and still be fine! The FDA says that oximeter readings are unreliable if
Your hands are cold
You have nail polish on
You are shivering or moving around
Oximeter readings mean absolutely nothing if you have no other symptoms. You have no other symptoms because you were able to conduct a pulse oximeter test. You are fine.
